Dash / Jump

Jumping and/or Dashing is a skill that's part of the player(s)' moveset. If the player(s) press the A button (or whatever button they have assigned), they'll make a jump, and if they then press the Y button(same) while in midair, they'll make a small dash that can help them reach platforms that are far away or avoid an incoming attack. If the player(s) have the Smoke Bomb equipped, their dashing will make them invisible and invulnerable to the enemies' attacks.

In The Delicious Last Course, Ms. Chalice has the natural ability to make a double jump by pressing the A button again while in midair. She can also parry by simply dashing into pink objects, without the need to jump on top of them, like Cuphead or Mugman.
