Balance Scales are "enemies" encountered in the Rugged Ridge run n' gun of Inkwell Isle Three.

Appearance

They are yellow scales connected to silver chains. They have large, black eyes and a button nose. A yellow ring holds both chains to the scale.

Characteristics

Only appearing in the first section of Rugged Ridge, the Balance Scales go up or down, depending on how long the player stands on them. The Balance Scales are entirely invincible. It is more difficult for the player to jump on them continuously, while a Mountain Lion is pushing them back with a gust of wind, or a Mountain Goat is throwing pickaxes at them. The player must use these scales to traverse through the stage.
